Brandes Aggregates was formed in 1965 in response to demands from the city of Sault Ste. Marie and the steel and transportation industries in the area. With the industrial revolution taking place across North America, the rise of steel demand and the upswing of the economy was allowing the small Northern town to prosper. Brandes Aggregates decided to form as the large demand for construction and landscape aggregates and construction services grew. The gravel deposits in the quarries were proven to yeild high-quality aggregate and stone which has resulted in Brandes being able to supply aggregate for concrete and asphalt producers for over 50+ years. Over the decades, we have developed a reputation for high-quality products and services.
Over the last 50+ years, Brandes has developed its production capabilities to meet strict specification demands and quick, responsive service to our customers. Our motto is “Excellence in quality and service”, and we strive continuously to meet and exceed the demands of our clients.
